Project description:
This project was created as a charity for my friend from Ukraine during these difficult times. This is a multi-page design and performance-oriented site based on Gatsby.js.
Initially, the project was called electrickiev.com and was based in Kyiv, Ukraine, but now my friend has moved to Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and I will transfer the project to a new domain name elektrik-ua.org.
After analyzing the competitors, I studied their strengths and weaknesses on various projects. To be honest, they did not impress me (especially in terms of design). Therefore, I decided to create a truly attractive website, which is currently one of the fastest and most beautiful projects in the field of electrical services in the Ukrainian market.
When developing the design, various projects on the Themeforest and other references were studied, which made it possible to create an excellent prototype and final design of the site on Figma.
Also, a lot of attention was paid to SEO for this, in Gatsby.js there are special Gatsby Head API that generate all the necessary meta tags on the server side, as well as special Open Graph tags for social networks. To do this, I developed an SEO component following the official documentation on the Gatsby.js website.
I used various lightweight libraries as much as possible in its development and a local font, no Google Font APIs. Also, Gatsby.js built-in image optimization saved me a lot of time preparing images. No more thinking about cropping images and converting them to Webp format (I only use it) no Jpg or Png, we are still not in 2010😃. Gatsby-plugin-image creates it automatically.

The result of this project is a super fast website with a unique design and SEO optimization. The client is very pleased with the result and is ready to recommend me to his friends and acquaintances.
We spent a lot of time in negotiations with the client to create a project with a bright, memorable design, but at the same time with a user-friendly interface, also based on the Gatsby GS, the project turned out to be fast, its average indicator is 96% Lighthouse Google.
