Project description:

We met this client during my internship at my web developer school Simplon.co (France) and decided to continue our cooperation in the future. In January 2022, we decided to create a small website for food products from Italy. My client already had an operating small shop located in the shopping center "Casino", France, Villeneuve-Loubet. The future site was intended to be a simple food catalog from Italy where users could view a list of products and then contact by phone or email to place their order.

Next, a preliminary layout was developed in Wireframe and we began to look for similar sites in order to further develop the design in Figma and begin development. To attract the attention of users, we decided to use a slider and small animations on the main page. For this task, I used the Revolution slider which allows you to create visually pleasing slides with mouse movement animation.

Also, for this project, my client did not need a content management system, since the product catalog changes very rarely (no more than a few times a year). I decided to move away from using cumbersome CMS like WordPress and create a design-oriented project in pure HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

On this site, the visitor can only view the products in stock and then contact the store to arrange home delivery or simply come directly to the shopping center and buy products on the spot.

Result:

The result is a beautiful multi-page site that presents farm products from Italy for sale and is the face of a small business.

I also use Vercel hosting for almost all of my projects, including this one as it provides great github management but also free domains. This allows some of my clients not to worry about domain renewal.
